This mixed media installation features monotype image transfers on tracing paper glued to handmade wire circles and dipped in beeswax. They hang from a branch found on the shores of the North Umpqua river in Oregon, one of America’s last wild rivers.

12”x 12” Fine Art Print on high quality paper. These prints were created from the original monotypes on tissue paper which are part of the “Biology Rising” window installations. I digitally altered the originals with different colored filters to represent the different hues of humanity.

My version of a primordial journey: the birth of a cell through its natural life cycle. Created with mixed media monoprints on tissue paper which are then collaged onto a large, 24” x 24” square canvas, then embellished with canvas circles that were cut on my Glowforge laser cutter. I painted the circles with acrylic paint on my gel pad to add additional texture and depth. Framed in a float frame.
